STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe:

  1. The Bible is the supernaturally inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God. It does more than contain the Word of God, it is the Word of God. It does more than contain truth; it is God’s truth without any mixture of error.

  2. That Scripture was inspired and recorded infallibly in its original form and has since been providentially preserved so that what is available in the world languages of today is reliable, authoritative, and, in every reasonable sense, infallible.

  3. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (The Lord Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

    • Regarding God the Father we believe in…

      • His transcendence and immutability,

      • His omnipotence, omni-presence, and omniscience (We reject the view commonly labeled as “Open Theism.”),

      • His eternality, sovereignty, and creatorship of all things,

Note: We believe in a literal 6 day creation and reject any form of evolution, theistic or otherwise,

      • His moral attributes of holiness, justice, righteousness, and perfect love.

Note: We believe that the Gospel message results from these moral attributes.

    • Regarding Jesus Christ we believe in…

      • His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, and miracles,

      • His vicarious and atoning death, in His literal bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

    • Regarding the person and work of the Holy Spirit we believe…

      • He was active in creation,

      • He restrains evil and the evil one until God’s great purpose is fulfilled,

      • He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment,

      • He bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony,

      • He is the agent of the new birth. This is the baptism of the Spirit (John 1:12; Gal. 2:16; Titus3:5),

      • The Holy Spirit indwells every believer. A person who lacks the presence of the Spirit is not merely lacking a second blessing; he or she does not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9),

      • The Holy Spirit fills every believer (Acts 4:31). He seals, empowers, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer in accordance with the Scriptures.

  4. Salvation is only available through genuine repentance and faith in the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21), not through any “…works of righteousness which we have done [Titus 3:5].”

    • We believe in the regeneration by and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in every believer.

      • We completely reject any teaching that any sacrament or ordinance is a means of grace.

      • We completely reject any teaching which would imply that any sacraments or ordinances provide regeneration, or are necessary for its accomplishment.

    • We reject the concept of a second work of grace which either provides for or indicates a more complete relationship with God than that which is provided to every believer through the finished work of Christ at salvation as evidenced by the indwelling Spirit.

  5. In the visible, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth to rapture His church and judge the world.

  6. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost…

    • The saved unto eternal life

    • The lost unto eternal damnation

  7. In a literal Heaven and in a literal Hell

  8. That believers should seek, as the early disciples did, to practice the separated life from the world and unto Christ and to practice standards of conduct which shall exalt the Lord and His church. As ministry organizations represent individual believers, those organizations should also maintain a testimony and practice that will in no way reflect negatively on the cause of Christ or the individuals and churches the organization represents.

  9. In an autonomous local church.
